For students transitioning to adult life, our goal is to encourage their active participation in their community by planning the next step, whether it be employment or post-secondary education/training.

The Counseling Department is a supporting presence on the road to achievement and development for our diverse student body. We foster an inclusive atmosphere in which students are able to discover, recognize and achieve their learning, career and personal objectives.

“If I only teach my students the material needed In order to pass a test, then I only take care of them for one day. However, if I teach them how to seek knowledge and how to love learning then I prepare them for a lifetime.”
— Kimberly Johnson-Thomas, M.A. Education
